It’s almost Christmas (in case you didn’t know!), so we are starting to get our planning underway for Christmas presents for the kids – so much fun!!
3fold Resources in combination with funding from the Spicy Delights dinner have enabled us to purchase Education Packs and Hygiene Packs for all the kids. The education pack includes a school bag, pencil case, coloured pencils, crayons, scissors, glue stick, pens, eraser, sharpener, ruler and pencils. The hygiene pack includes shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, cream, powder, toothbrush, toothpaste, mirror, comb and a few other bits and pieces, as well as new sheets, pillows and towels.
We couldn’t wait till Christmas to give these gifts….so we did it last week!
Each child received their own special pack, with all their bits and pieces labelled with their name. The stationery and toiletries were inside the school bag, so we gave out the bags and then were able to see the kids together opening their bags to find out what was inside! We have purchased enough of the consumable items to last the hostel for approximately one year.
The kids were absolutely delighted with the packs and were excitedly going through all the items. It’s times like these that you really do understand that it is more wonderful to give than it is to receive. Thanks to all the supporters who have made this possible.

WOW! You have both done an amazing job in creating those awesome gifts - the looks on the childrens faces is priceless. The ability to give is truly a gift from God - He has poured into us so that we can pour into others. Trust that both of you also had an awesome Christmas and we are looking forward to seeing you back in 2013!
