Going to the Movies!

For most of us in Australia, going to movies is just another part of life - when Karen and I are back home we usually see a movie or at least watch a DVD once a month, but have many friends who go every week!

However in India, this isn't the case for most people. The cost of the tickets is quite expensive and it's really a luxury.

Last Sunday night, one of the young girls who works for Ashirvad, celebrated her 23rd birthday. So we thought as a special surprise, we'd take her to the cinemas, with a few friends to enjoy with. There's a great movie called 'Barfi' showing here, (in Hindi) - and plays here at one of the 'western' shopping malls. It was such a beautiful experience to see this young person sit, with baited breath and eager excitement, to watch the film! It was her first time to a movie theatre and also a shopping mall for that matter.

Another one of our western treats that we often overlook!

We're so blessed in the West.
